Test payload launch in
Ny-Alesund (Svalbard) Dec. 2012
Test payload launch from
Ny-Alesund (Svalbard) in Jan. 2011, and resulting
eastward ground path of the balloon. This activity
has been carried out by the Sapienza personnel,
with support from ISTAR and CNR.
In addition to providing evidence for a eastward
stratospheric circulation, these flight provided
essential environment data for the Arctic
stratosphere during the winter. Read here
